DONATIONS FAQs
CAS is an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), and all outright donations of $10 and above are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
To have your donation included in the tax assessment for the donation year, tax-deductible donations should be made by 20 December. Donors are required to provide the above information to CAS and CAS shall furnish the same to IRAS to the extent necessary.
The General Fund supports the day-to-day work of CAL and gives us the flexibility to direct donations to areas of greatest need across Melrose Home and Melrose Care. This includes residential care, counselling and therapeutic services, educational and developmental programmes, as well as the operational infrastructure, such as staffing, systems and essential services, needed to deliver our work safely and effectively.
CAS will only issue tax-deductible receipts upon request. The tax deduction benefits will be automatically included in your tax assessment so long as you provide your NRIC/FIN when making a donation.
Your full NRIC will only be collected if you require tax deduction for your donation. Should you not wish to receive tax deduction, you will not be required to submit your NRIC.
You can make a monthly or yearly donation through our form above, giving.sg, or give.asia.
If you would like your donations to go towards Melrose Village, please reach out to us at [email protected] for more information on donation tiers and partnership opportunities.
As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, CAL may publish the names of individual and corporate donors in our Annual Report. If you or your organisation do not wish to be acknowledged, please email us at [email protected].
